*2008 - Shihad are back - New Album - New Tour*

*Beautiful Machine - NZ RELEASE*

Monday 21st of April 2008 marks the release of Shihad's 7th studio album
in New Zealand.

Beautiful Machine is the result of over 2 years of writing and recording
by the band - The album was produced by Shihad, alongside engineer Matt
Lovell (silverchair) - Recorded in Melbourne, Australia at Toms new
studio, "The Studios In The City" and Sing Sing.

The key tracks were mixed by Alan Moulder (NIN, My Bloody Valentine, The
Killers) with the remaining tracks mixed by Matt Lovell.

It represents a new phase in the band's development - not just a cursory
tweak of elements but rather a bold exploration of colour, melody,
rhythm and power.

The First Single 'One Will Hear The Other' has been a staple of NZ radio
for the past 3 months - constantly in the Top 30 singles, holding the
top spot at rock radio and bouncing into the top ten like an A.D.D. kid
on Jolt cola.

But this track is one small piece of the picture - in the context of the
album it displays one side of the complexity and scope of an album that
is unlike any the band have released before - and one that has distilled
the most potent elements of the 4 members into one focused beam that
cuts through any preconceptions and points clearly to massive new horizons.

The album is available in various forms though out NZ
headlining of the sold out Homegrown festival in Wellington, NZ. The
band are joined by many of their favourite artists including Kora, The
Mint Chicks, Tiki, Die! Die! Die! and Concord dawn.
some rare ones.) will be blasted to over 11,000 people at Wellington's
