Information

Andrew McManus Presents is proud to announce that internationally renowned progressive metal band Korn, who have sold in excess of 30 million albums and played countless sold-out shows worldwide, have been confirmed to play three solo shows in Australia for Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in December this year. Korn are the special guests for Guns N’ Roses who are also touring Australia in December this year. Tickets go on sale on 9am Monday 27th September.

Korn emerged from the depths of Bakersfield, California with a sound unlike any other in 1994. They have been able to cement themselves as one of the most important bands in rock n' roll history. Over the course of eight full-length releases, Korn sold over 30 million albums, have won two Grammys - one for Best Short Form Video for "Freak on a Leash" from 1998’s Follow the Leader and one for Best Metal Performance for "Here to Stay" from 2002’s Untouchables - and have launched a massively successful festival of their own, The Family Values Tour. However, despite all their massive success and accolades, Korn haven't lost hold of the savage, raw energy that made them such a crucial band for diehard rock and metal fans. Korn are one of the preeminent voices of this generation. Korn are also the special guests for Guns N’ Roses who are also touring Australia in December this year.

Joining Korn in Sydney and Melbourne is one of New Zealand’s greatest rock bands Shihad, who have had three #1 albums and who hold the record for the most Top40 Single Chart appearances for a New Zealand artist. Fans can expect to hear all their biggest hits and also songs off Shihad’s eighth studio album, Ignite. Shihad was formed by vocalist and guitarist Jon Toogood and drummer Tom Larkin in 1988 with Phil Knight on guitars and Karl Kippenberger on bass guitar rounding out a line-up that hasn’t changed in more than two decades.

Melbourne based band, Sydonia who have built up a great local following and who define diversity will join Korn on all three Australian shows. The band has released 4 EP’s and a full-length album titled Given To Destroyers, which was released through MGM. Sydonia have toured with notable bands such as Stone Sour, Slipknot, Machine Head and Lamb of God, as well as fellow Australians Dead letter Circus and Mammal.

KoRn – in a gig so small there’s slamming room only! Don’t miss out!

Tickets go on sale via the above outlets from 9am Monday 27th September.
