As soon as we walked into the Barrymore Theatre we knew tonight was gonna be a good one. It's a classic old room but with an enormous PA so we sound HUGE. the guys who're doing our onstage sound are pro's so we are well stoked (the guitars sound like AC/DC and the kick drum shakes your insides - in a good way) Madison is a really cool town with shitloads of cafes, good places to eat and good people to hang out with. did an early morning acoustic thing at WJJO and met Blake the DJ who was a good man and got us to sign his CD. Blindside cancel their show because Christian, their singer, is really ill so this means we get a longer set. yes. Haven't played "Run" for ages because of a shorter set time. forgot how much I love that song. 'tis a rush to play and when I actually manage to hit the high notes in the chorus it feels GOOD! Mike, our radio guy from Arista, takes us to a Pakistani restaurant after a crankin' show which turns into a Hooker pipe den in the middle of our meal which adds to the atmosphere. get back to the bus and watch Ali G make Carson Daley (is that how you spell it?) look like a dork and makes us all laugh loudly. there are more and more people over here who are starting to stand up and say 'fuck that' to the idea of going to war. it gives me back some faith in humanity. peace.
