Tommys take on the make.

We got up to Sydney a day early to do some quick promo - First of all was channel V at the fox studios complex - we arrived as jimmy eat world were blasting into a live version of 'the middle' souded really tight - just like they spent alot of time in the rehearsal rooms and maybe didn't get out much or something. Had some lunch and were joined by Mark and Rose - two of our staunch Sydney fans. Good to see them.

The interveiw was fine - Jabba looked after the proceedings and he's always the bomb. However my fave part of the whole thing was that Jon and I got meet mr X to the Z - XZIBIT in the green room - Really nice guy and one the bands im most looking forward to seeing tommorrow.

After V we popped over to triple M and did all sorts of interveiws - One for days one for nights one for when you are feeling blue one for when your sniffing glue.

Frenzal rhomb are pretty fuckin funny eh! I enjoyed their set. Our show was the shizzle - love Sydney - Bullitproof seems to be the jewel in the crown at the moment - watch that crowd bounce!! yes. yes. Phil was very frisky today. that was good too.

After the set I caught a little bit of the deftones - very angry today. they have a lot of people to look after them - I counted 8 crew for four people playing in the day - that makes them the most micheal jackson band on the road. Mind you Janes addiction do have a wardrobe assistant that has the job of looking after Dave Navaro's sunglasses when we takes them off 3rd song into the set every night. Thats pretty Micheal Jackson.

I spent the rest of the day watching all the bands I talked about before - but we tried to see jimmy eat world and turned up for the last note!! However the band I most wanted to see was XZIBIT and we made our way over to the boiler room just as he hit the stage - only propblem was it was very quiet and we made our way out front where it was even quieter and so fuckin hot it was ridiculous. We watched for 1/2 the set - the show got stopped because people were climbing the wallls and then we left - XZIBIT was good but we couldn't fuckin hear it!!

went home - had a nice dinner, got drunk - talked shit in the hotel bar and then zzzzzzzzzzzz.
