25 June 2010 - NZ Gets TGE & Killjoy Tour
In support of this stone cold fact, this July and August, Shihad will embark on a series of two-night
performances in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland. Night one will consist of a full song-by-song
live run through of Killjoy, with Shihad repeating the process with The General Electric
on night two. Suffice to say all dates on this highly anticipated tour will sell-out.
Already renown as one of the best live bands in the world, this July and August Shihad will perform some of the most unique and compelling performances of their astonishing career.

Fans, friends, family! As you know SHIHAD have been one of the most successful rock bands to have emerged from this part of the world To celebrate and document 21 years SHIHAD are making a feature length, full noise, access all areas documentary movie on the band.
The SHIHAD movie will be a hundred minutes of the band live in concert, and of the bands own story including a series of interviews with Jon, Tom, Karl and Phil. The film producers will talk to some of the managers, producers and people who have helped shape their sound, and also meet some of the friends and family who have watched four schoolboys from suburban Wellington grow into one of the world's greatest rock acts.
This is your chance to be a part of SHIHAD history.
We want to know: the songs you want to see, the stories you want to hear, and the people you want us to talk to.
We are looking for archive material, and lots of it! We'll need photos, videos, recordings – anything you have in your own collection or anything else you think should be a part of SHIHAD: The Movie.

4 May 2010 - Shihad sign to Roadrunner Australia
To rock fans the country over, Shihad are a band that that have continually delivered the goods. However, despite their reputation as one of the most loved (adopted) local artists of the last two decades, they never let the grass grow under their feet and their forthcoming album is just as anticipated as classics like Killjoy, The General Electric and their last album Beautiful Machine.
With this in mind, Roadrunner Records are proud to announce this week that they have inked a deal with the NZ rockers and will be releasing their new album in Australia in September this year.

First taste from the new album will be the single Sleepeater, which opens with a slow burning mantra and warm guitar undercurrent uncoiling into a trademark booming chorus. The video is reverentially innovative, featuring Shihad fans being subjected to the elements on slo-mo, high definition video and is sure to become a viral fixture.

Shihad are going to be releasing a new DVD intitled "Loud As Fuck."
Shooting starts in February 2010, shoot ends May 2010. It is set to contain live footage and documentary footage.

12 January 2010 - Shihad to support AC/DC on Black Ice tour in NZ + Homegrown Doco
This news is a bit behind the times, but if you have been living under a rock, Shihad are supporting rock gods AC/DC on their tour of NZ. Playing with them are The Checks, who have supported bands like Muse and REM in the past.
In other news, Shihad did a documentary for C4 back in 2005 for their Homegrown series. It's around 45 minutes long and details a huge amount of how they have come from Devolve to Love Is the New Hate.

28 August 2009 - November Gigs Postponed Until 2010
We have just received notification that the 7 shows 7 albums November event planned by Shihad to celebrate their 21st birthday has had to be postponed until sometime in 2010, for various reasons. We will update you with more information when we get it.
